Review | Urban Decay Naked Basics Eyeshadow Palette

If you're into neutral eyes, then you're going to like this one. Urban Decay are well-known for their Naked palettes and although the Naked Basics is much more compact than the others, it certainly performs just as well. You can find this palette on Beauty Bay or Sephora, and it costs about $28USD/$40AUD.

This palette features 6 neutral shades, 5 of which are matte and 1 frost. The quality of the shades are brilliant, and while there are many chalky dry matte shades on the market, the Naked Basics offers finely-milled, smooth eyeshadows. They come in a compact rubberised case which is great for travel!

Shades from left to right:
Venus - frosty creamy white
Foxy - matte yellow beige
W.O.S - matte nude
Naked 2 - matte taupe
Faint - warm matte brown
Crave - matte black

While I do enjoy every shade in this palette, I feel like having both Foxy and W.O.S is somewhat overkill. In my opinion, this palette lacks a dark charcoal brown shade, which is what I prefer to use as a crease shade. Apart from that, all the colours are lovely and great quality.

This palette is great for beginners or people who don't tend to wear much eyeshadow. If you're looking for a travel-friendly palette or some matte shades, then I would definitely recommend this palette. However, if you already own a few of the Naked palettes then you will probably find a lot of similar shades in there!
