Review | Tom Ford Lip Color Sheer

This year, as a part of his Spring 2014 collection, Tom Ford released eight beautiful lipsticks called the Lip Color Sheer. I have six of them to show you today, but just a disclaimer: reading the following post could result in you spending a large chunk of your life savings. Don't say I didn't warn you!



These Lip Color Sheers are limited edition and come in Tom Ford's iconic ivory and gold casing. They are sold out in most places, but I got mine on Selfridges where they ended up costing about $50AUD each. The formula is moisturising and semi-translucent, containing Vitamin C and E, shea butter and other natural oils.

The shades I have from left to right are:
06 Firecracker Bright warm orange-red
07 Paradiso Warm watermelon-coral
05 Sweet Spot Orange-coral
04 Summer Fling Light warm Pink
01 In the Buff Gold-shimmered Beige
02 Pink Dune Gold-shimmered Pink Beige

 


While they are Lip Color Sheers, some of them are as pigmented as a regular lipstick. Firecracker, Paradiso and Sweet Spot were the most pigmented, while Summer Fling, In the Buff and Pink Dune were of a more sheer semi-translucent formula. Despite some of the shades having shimmer, (In the Buff, Pink Dune and Summer Fling) I don't feel the glitter particles on my lips.




This collection of Lip Color Sheers are definitely Holy Grail status in my books! If you're looking to splurge on any collection this year, I would recommend this one. Tom Ford gets it done when it comes to lipsticks and this collection is truly amazing. They are limited edition, so be sure to check them out before they disappear!
