Since the boyfriend and I will be in Cairns during Valentines Day, we thought we would celebrate a couple of days earlier since it's not really practical lugging presents on the plane and then back again. 

We have been together for 4+ years, so Valentines Day for us isn't super fancy, but it is a day where we take the time to appreciate each other just a little bit more than usual.


I was so surprised when he gave me these flowers! Can you believe it?! My boyfriend, a car-crazed maniac actually took the time to sit down and make these origami roses!! What is the world coming to? Nonetheless, it was super sweet and probably my favourite bunch from him that i've ever received! :)


We had already decided that we would be buying each other fragrance for Valentines Day. A little 'his and hers', if you will. I got him the Bleu de Chanel and he bought me Chance in Eau de Toilette. I actually preferred it over the Eau de Parfum because I found that one slightly overbearing.


How cute is the little card I got him?! Gotta love a good pun.

So there's our pre Valentines Day lovin'. I know that this day is overly commercialised, but for me it is a wonderful day to take time and appreciate the ones I love. And yes, I know that you should do that every day but sometimes life gets crazy busy and it can be easily forgotten. Whether it be with gifts, actions or words, it's always nice to remind someone that you love them.
